We must get serious about fiscal discipline through cutting spending -- not raising taxes -- before it's too late. Without immediately enacting massive spending cuts, increasing the debt ceiling moves our government even closer to bankruptcy. Raising the debt ceiling is acceptable if, and only if, Congress first enacts serious spending cuts that exceed the size of any debt ceiling increase and significant reforms to the budget process. Ending Spending is committed to holding the White House and Members of Congress accountable for their excessive spending practices and exposing those in Washington who say one thing and do another.

Let's look into the people that are raping the system through welfare fraud and social security fraud. More checks and balances are needed before people are handed money for doing nothing. Stronger restrictions on how long people can "live" on welfare. The system is terribly flawed but why fix it when those are the people that are voting for President Obama right? Under no circumstances should the Debt Ceiling be raised! NO DEALS!
The House Republicans have the power to do nothing and force the Federal government to reduce or shut down entire departments such as, The Department of Education, The Department of Energy, The National Labor Relations Board and numerous other insidious and useless federal "functions".
If Obama threatens to stop payments to the military, Social Security recipients and other essential payments you must counter with the threat that Congress will investigate his forged birth certificate and lack of his being an American citizen.

(Obama is and illegal alien and subject to deportation, he gave up

Cut spending. Not the rate of increase in spending. Just cut spending altogether. Don't raise taxes and eliminate all that pork barrel spending that you said you would cut before you got elected. And instead of reneging on all of your campaign promises, keep your promises.

I put in my vote for spending cuts only. I also asked why they used fear mongering about not paying for Social Security or Medicare. Why not say that he or Congress might not get paid.

Got thru in 10 mins. Made my comment just fine and was told it would be reported to the president. Informed them the debt needed to be reduced by 50% or 7 trillion, $4 trillion not nearly enough. Also informed them since this is PUBLIC debt, the "negotiations" had better be PUBLIC also!
