Senate Rejects Real Earmark Reform

Yes, there still are some heroes. Some politicians in Washington actually do continue to look out for OUR money. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), along with cosponsors Senators McCain, Coburn, Grassley, Feingold, LeMieux, McCaskill, Ensign, Cornyn, Risch, and Graham, did just that by introducing an amendment to establish an earmark moratorium for fiscal years 2010 & 2011. The Senate, unfortunately, defeated the amendment 68-29.
