Spending Sheriffs and Budget Bandits
    Contact Your Elected Officials
Ending Spending wants to make it very easy for taxpayers to know how their elected officials voted on the most critical pieces of budget legislation. Listed below is how each member of the current Congress voted on the budget bills presented by in the House and Senate.

The House of Representatives cast votes on budgets presented by Republican Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee, and Democrat Chris Van Hollen, Ranking Member of the House Budget Committee. The United States Senate voted on Congressman Ryan's budget bill as it was presented in the House of Representatives, and also cast votes on individual budget plans offered by Republican Senator Rand Paul and Democratic Senator Patty Murray, Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.

Members of the House and Senate who have a check mark under the Ryan Budget1,2 column voted to stop reckless spending, balance the budget in ten years, and put America back on a path towards fiscal responsibility.3 Members who have a check under the House Democrat Budget column voted for $476 billion in new spending and higher taxes on American families.4

In the Senate, in addition to votes cast for Congressman Ryan's fiscally responsible budget proposal, a vote for Senator Paul's budget would support balancing the budget in 5 years, eliminating 4 federal agencies, repealing Obamacare and Dodd-Frank, replacing the income tax with a flat tax and creating an energy independent United States.5 A vote for the Murray budget bill means $1 trillion in new taxes, $240 billion in defense cuts, won't reduce the deficit and does not balance the budget.6
